Normann Food #3: Strawberry Ice Cream

We present a new recipe for the 'Normann Food' season: a fresh and creamy delight perfect for ice cream enthusiasts.

Whether you are planning on hosting a dinner party or just relaxing and enjoying the sun this weekend, this homemade Strawberry Ice Cream should with the bill. Have a great weekend!

5 dl. of cream 

5 Egg yolks, pasteurized 

200 g. of sugar 

1 Vanilla pod 

18 large strawberries (8 for the ice cream, 10 for the coulis)


  • Pour the cream into a pan. 

  • Split the vanilla pod and scrape out the seeds. 

  • Add the seeds to the cream and heat slowly. 

  • Mix the egg yolks and sugar in a bowl and whisk until it turns white. 

  • Pour the egg mass slowly over the cream and heat until almost at boiling point. 

  • Chop the strawberries, add them to the cooled mixture and pour it into an ice cream maker. 

  • Take the remaining 10 strawberries and mash them with a fork together with a little sugar to make a delicious strawberry coulis to pour over the ice cream.

Tip! Beat it all with our creative and space-saving Beater whisk for a creamier result!
