Ekko Throw Blanket
Whether Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall, there is always a reason to pull out your favorite throw blanket and the Ekko range might be just what the Doctor ordered. The Ekko Throw Blanket is ideal for wrapping up in on a late summer evening in the garden, as well as on a cold winter day with a great book.Ekko has a light effervescent, graphic pattern of repetitive circles and cylinder shapes that overlap. The surprising and vibrant color combinations make up a design that full of visual impact. Truly an easy way to add color and change the look of your living room.We have utilized the traditional weaving technique of jacquard weaving. By using this method the pattern is inverted on the back, meaning that the throw blanket is just as beautiful to look at from the front as from the back. This also lets you change the look of Ekko depending on how you fold it. After the weaving process, the wool has been brushed, making Ekko extra soft and warm that will last you for years.
The Norwegian design studio Günzler.Polmar consists of Victoria Günzler and Sara Wright Polmar. They met when they were both students of Interior Architecture & Furniture Design at the National Academy of Arts in Oslo. After finishing their studies in 2011, they started their own design studio. Their work has been shown at trade fairs and exhibitions in Paris, London, New York, LA, Stockholm and Oslo."We are fascinated by the potential design has of making an impact on people's everyday lives. To us it is not a question of function or aesthetics. We believe that both elements must be present to create a god design. The aesthetic of a product can also be a function in a way. The things we surround ourselves and the way they are designed influence our daily lives. Functional items can make things simpler while aesthetically pleasing things can help increase our sense of quality of life".
