When architecture meets nature

Residence - In 2016, Rudolph Perathoner architects designed Wohnhaus Wolkenstein, a four-story house overlooking the Sella massif in Val Gardena, Italy. Shortly after the construction of the house, the German architect company and Lichtstudio Eisenkeil collaborated to add subtle, elegant lighting to the top floor living room.

In their architectural project, Rudolph Perathoner created a perfect balance between the modern and the rustic. The use of natural materials such as wood and stone allows the residence to blend in with its Alpine surroundings, which gives the house a solid, heavy look. Floor-deep windows add light and spaciousness to the living room.

The Amp lamps subtly hang from the ceiling, adding a visual fragility and sensuous heaviness to the space. The cluster of smoke black and jade green Amp lamps give the room a contemporary feel, and leave the landscape in clear view.
