Indoor air quality

Healthy Indoor Environments

Indoor air quality is highly important to your health and well-being, and we are committed to setting high standards for our furniture’s part in creating healthy indoor environments.

The air we breathe indoors can be polluted by all kinds of objects in our daily life, which emit chemicals that lead to poor air quality.

Some of these emissions contain high concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which can cause irritation and discomfort, and have an adverse effect on our health. Many of these objects exist in most people’s homes, such as soap, paint, personal care products, cleaning products and such.

Emission Testing

We test furniture emissions to ensure that our furniture contributes with a good air quality in indoor environments. By testing our products, we can determine their exact emission of VOCs.

The ANSI / BIFMA M7 test is the standard method for determining VOC emissions, and offers an analysis of emissions under usage conditions, measuring the volatile compounds in the air after 3, 7 and 14 days.

These tests reveal that not only does our furniture comply with the standards set forth by the World Health Organization (WHO), the detected emissions are significantly lower than the recommendations. This is your guarantee that our furniture is a safe choice for a healthy indoor air environment.

Certified Textiles

We are committed to ensuring a healthy indoor environment for all our products, including our upholstered furniture.

We have carefully curated our selection of textiles from some of the best suppliers on the market who operate to the highest environmental standards.

The majority of our upholstery textiles hold either the Greenguard Gold Certificate or the SCS Indoor Advantage Gold Certificate, ensuring that they comply with the most rigorous indoor air quality standards. Additionally, our Ultra Leather sourced by Sørensen Leather is ANSI / BIFMA tested, which guarantees that no harmful emissions are released into the environment, thus contributing to a healthy indoor atmosphere.
