Hallingdal - The Archetype of Woollen Textiles

We are excited to add upholstery textiles by Kvadrat to our wide range of upholstery options, offering a endless possibilities for personal expression and customization. Kvadrat’s first textile, Hallingdal, has become the archetype of woollen textiles.

Hallingdal was Kvadrat's very first textile. The highly durable upholstery fabric was originally designed in 1965 by internationally acclaimed Danish designer Nanna Ditzel, and is today available in a version with an updated color scale: Hallingdal 65.

Hallingdal is made of 70 % wool and 30 % viscose, which complement each other well: The wool provides excellent durability and flexibility, whilst the viscose adds brilliance and depth to the color. Both materials are dyed before they are spun, which highlights the rich texture of the fabric.

Hallingdal complies with the EU Ecolabel, Greenguard Certification, HPD and EPD.
