Grant Wall Lamp 43 cm. EU Brass
Wall-mounted lighting is an aesthetic and space-optimizing solution, and the Grant series offers the choice of two flexible designs. The short-armed Grant wall lamp is well suited as a bedside lamp, for lighting up a hallway, or placed over a kitchen counter. Move it from side to side or tip it up and down to direct the light.
A ball joint connecting lampshades and arms allows for the lampshades to be positioned in every direction. The arms of the wall lamps can be moved sideways. All lamps in the series have a replaceable LED light source with dispersion lens. The floor lamp, table lamp and wall lamps come with dimmer and the pendants are dimmer compatible. Textile-covered cord.
Clean with damp cloth.
Grant Lamp series
A granite base with a thunder grey mineral mélange constitutes the magnetic starting point for the Grant series. In a symphony of contrasts, this elegant igneous stone is paired with polished metals to compose a refined and balanced design. Grant arises from the aesthetic interplay between high shine and dusty granular depth.
The series’ ensemble of lamps for wall mounting, ceiling, floor and table have an inherent classic quality and a versatile appeal. Lampshades with a dense rounded silhouette, inspired by Copenhagen’s iconic street lighting, meet slender arms in soft and airy compositions.
There is a sense of familiarity in the simple shapes and poised stature, while the smoothness of unbroken curves and unusual mix of materials lend the design a modern lucidity and immediate freshness. Grant is the quintessential timeless lighting series, which looks right at home in intimate spaces as well as grand majestic halls.
Designed by Simon Legald
Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small- and large scale products. Simon's designs are often created in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. He also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually.
"Honesty is what makes a product understandable and is what describes the products functionality. If you understand the product, it does not need any explanation. The essence of my design is for it to be bought and used. Therefore, it has to satisfy not only the functional aspects, but also the psychological and aesthetic needs. For me simplicity describes the true identity of objects and makes them trustworthy. In my design, I try not to add any unnecessary details. I work with simplicity by highlighting the necessities instead of hiding them. It gives the product a simple and honest expression."
