Graphic Storage

The Track baskets play with visual illusions and graphic patterns in a simple design that can be used anywhere in the home. Can you guess which everyday object inspired their look?

It was the shopping cart's raw metal mesh that initially gave designer Simon Legald the idea for the collection of storage baskets. In his design, diagonal steel rod tracks form a minimalist and airy construction. The designer says about his design approach:

“In my design, I try not to add any unnecessary
details. I work with simplicity by highlighting
the necessities instead of hiding them. It gives
the product a simple and honest expression.”

Simple and honest is also true for the Track baskets. Stripped of all unnecessities, the baskets form a design that is aesthetic in its minimalism.

Because the tracks run in opposing directions on each side, it creates a visual pattern of small squares when looking through the baskets. When the baskets are full, the sporty, diagonal pattern of the mesh becomes apparent.

Use them for books and magazines, towels, toys, office supplies, as an edgy fruit basket or as a place to store firewood.
