Knit behind the scenes – Designed from the Inside Out
At its core, Knit combines a lightweight steel frame with a seat that is crafted from FSCTM certified (FSC- C163461) wood and wood from other controlled sources forming a stable yet refined foundation. Foam is precisely shaped to support the body, while remaining independent from the surrounding materials—allowing the chair to be taken apart rather than broken down.

The defining outer layer is Myr, a newly launched knitted textile by Kvadrat made from 100% recycled polyester. Its intricate mélange and irregular, three-dimensional structure add depth and tactility to the surface, while the flexibility of the knit allows it to stretch seamlessly over the form. The result is a soft, tailored expression that holds its shape over time.

By keeping materials separate and accessible, Knit challenges conventional upholstered furniture, where mixed constructions often limit reuse. Instead, every component is considered from the very beginning—proof that thoughtful design is not only about how a chair looks or feels today, but how it continues to make sense in the years ahead.
